Glimpse of the Past #17: Derby, Vermont

We looked at historic postcard images from Derby, Vermont from 1900 and 1960 in our seventeenth “Glimpse of the Past” with The Barton Chronicle. The images include:

(1) Crystal Brook Farm and Cabins later known as Kelley’s outside Derby Line.
(2) Unidentified home and family group in Derby around 1911.
(3) Overnight Cabins that were part of Crystal Brook Farm, later Kelly’s Cabins, postmarked in September of 1942.
(4) Pepin’s Motel on the Newport-Derby Road when the view was more scenic than commercial in the late 1950’s.
(5) Robbin’s Farm in Derby with a rare round barn.
(6) The residence and store of Horace and Catherine Stewart in Beebe Plain about 1900.
(7) The Only Double Post-Office In The World located in Beebe Plain, VT and Beebe Quebec about 1906.
(8) Instructors and students of the Vermont Airways Flying School in Derby about 1927.
