Tidbits from the Life
of Alexander Lucius Twilight

Each week when we are open from May to October, we will bring you a new account of the life of African American Alexander Lucius Twilight. Often it will be his own words. On occasion, we will print the firsthand accounts from others who lived during Mr. Twilight’s day or the words of later historians who studied his life and times.

Join us each week in celebrating this man who inspires the mission of the Old Stone House Museum & Historic Village. Then take part in Alexander Twilight Day celebrated annually on his birthday, September 23, 2020.
