History from Farther North #11: National Beer Day and Vermont’s Hops History

Falling midway between April Fool’s Day and Tax Day, each April 7 since 1933 has been commemorated in the United States as National Beer Day, marking the passing of the Cullen-Harrison Act, which legalized the sale of beer with 4 percent or less volume.
