Announcing the Summer Raffle, 2023!

We’re pleased to announce the Summer Raffle, 2023! Ticket sales will be open from Sunday, July 2nd through Sunday, October 15th. Raffle prizes this year feature items with wonderful stories from the people and places of the Old Stone House Museum community:

1st Prize: Gorgeous handmade braided rug by Mary Ragno

Mary is an advisory board member and top-notch crafter who teaches our annual rug-braiding classes. The rug she made and donated this year boasts rich brown and red tones with overlays of warm beige and sky blues. Its texture is soft and welcoming. The rug measures approximately 54 by 42 inches. Valued at approximately $700.

2nd Prize: Private Lake Champlain tour cruise donated by anonymous supporter

Thank you to the generous soul(s) out there who donated this cruise for us to use as a fundraising tool! The winner of this prize will have the rare chance to luxuriate on a private cruise around beautiful Lake Champlain. 3rd Prize: Hand-turned spalted maple bowl made by Long Branch Wooden Bowls, Holland, VT

Made from the ancient maple trees of the historic village, these bowls are truly a unique creation. They not only represent history in the grains of the wood, but also true beauty and utility. The bowl measures 18 inches in diameter and would make for an elegant centerpiece for any table. Valued at approximately $250.

4th Prize: Local Amish-made maple syrup and Forest Trees of Vermont by Trevor Evans

Taste the flavor of Vermont in a mason jar of locally made maple syrup accompanied by some great reading about the forest-scapes of Vermont. Amish-made maple syrup from the historic village trees is simply the best around! Four prizes valued at approximately $25 each.
